Hi Billy. Don't doubt you, but why would I want them?

Billy- Thanks to a strong NNW wind and my location, I won both races this weekend. Distance was 352 miles. Race was a little fast for us. Speeds were 1420 and 1428.

I heard Wayne, Super and congrats, forget the wind your super fast birds did the number on us slackers. Do the high 5 and sell the eggs at $100 each. Might even take your Sticky in my loft and breed from him if can last the whole YB season without me screwing up and losing the cull. Again good racing. Lets race. Bye BillyT

Just a question Mike V, why would not anybody want a night flyer if the race ran out of daylight with no day birds? You puzzle me Mike V. Sure you are not posting from the nurses station in the sanitorium? Clue me in pal. Lets race. Bye BillyT

A good long distance flyer . That was Barry who you met Billy - used to trained after the innitial race just late at night! The times he won club / Fed etc. with the only bird(s) on the day is something good I can assure you.
Ok due to the Hours Of Darkness' sometime HIS was the first in he morn. when clocks were / are officially opened.

Oh yes well done Wayne! See Billy must have let you have some 'Leeches'!
Mine can now do 12 minutes none stop flying ... great birds!
Mating time is here now. They are real trim and no inner fat. Hardly a scrape either in nest boxes. 4 spare hens will cause a bit of havoc lol I'm a betting.

Billy T. You are going to have to start reading all the posts. Since moving to this location in 1997 I have flown over 100 races, more like 125 if you count the specials. I can only remember one race out of 125 with no day birds and that was a 250 mile young bird smash when the rain moved in after release and stayed all day. How many of my 14 widowhood cocks do you think I should dedicate to developing as night fliers? Time for you to think on it.

Thanks Roly- Have not been able to get any Leeches from Billy. But since I live on the Gulf Coast, I tried a couple small sand crabs this week. Seemed to work ok. Looks like I may have also scored high in the Assc.

Mike you may be right since you guys in eskimoland have more hours of light than we down south guys do so may get more day birds. But with that fact why are you downgrading night flyers? Time to think on it. Lets race. Bye BillyT

By Mikev (142.106.180.135 - 142.106.180.135) on Monday, March 31, 2003 - 03:48 pm: Edit

I certainly am not downgrading night fliers. If I raced in Europe with late morning releases or any schedule where two day races were common, I would be very interested in devloping that type of a bird. Since neither is the case for me, I don't need them. That was the question you asked me and that was the question I answered. Nothing more.
