I feel that the real beauty of this game, like many others, is that hardly anything, if anything at all, can be proved, sienctificaly or otherwise.
Infact it would be interesting to see any proven facts posted here.
Even Velocities are no where acurate. Hours of daylight needs a lot of looking into.
The level playing field is a myth of imagination.
Wind obviously does play apart..... but is often proven to be an ass.
Distances flown are at best 'Not too far out'.
What feeds really does what is only logical.....
Motivation just what experiments seem to work FOR some pigeons.
The Ability to even get home a mystery....
And here we are with many heated words of insults lol and damation. WHY?
The only thing certain in this game is that it takes all sort, and charactors to play it lol.

Roly...Thanks for that bit of perspective. I find the reparte' here quite amusing and look forward to new postings with anticipation but, am sometimes shocked at the acidity of the comments and seeming hostilities. Then I read a new posting that shows seemingly bitter enemies looking forward to sharing a pint at a convention and sharing ideas. It's a strange world I am entering into and fraught with danger!

MIKE B.

ARE YOU GOING TO THE CONVENTION NEXT FALL.?? IF SO,I WOULD LIKE TO MEET WITH YOU & SHARE SOME TIDBITS OF INFORMATION THAT MIGHT HELP YOU UNDERSTAND SOME OF US RETARDS.
I ALSO COULD GIVE YOU SOME HANDS ON INFO THAT WOULD KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF.

Oh yes..... but Myron he would much prefer to knock the socks of his Opponents LOL

Myron I see you got thru the cruise with causing a mutany. You must be slipping. Lets race. Bye Billy

I don't trust either of you gentlemen. I think I'll keep my socks ON!!

To answer your question Myron, I doubt I will be at the convention next fall. I don't know where it is taking place and more importantly...so far my wife is reserving judgement on this new hobby of mine. The logistics of being involved even on a minor level are pretty imposing. I live on an island of 4000 people with a 1 1/2 hour ferryboat ride to the mainland. I am having trouble figuring out how I will train my birds let alone come and party with you reprobates...Mike B.

Orcas, only training solution is to train straight up. Set up the rocket pad in your back yard. Lets race. Bye Billy

MIKE B,

WHERE DO YOUR WOULD BE CLUB MEMBERS LIVE.???
HOW BIG IS THIS ISLAND.??? HOW MANY MILES TO SHORE.??
BIG BRAKE FOR YOU IS THAT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO GO FOR THE SHORT TOSSES.
WHAT YOU DO HAVE THAT MOST DON'T, IS AN AUTOMATIC EVERY DAY EXCURSION TO SHORE WITH YOUR BIRDS FOR A COUPLE OF DRINKS TO THE CAPTAIN. NOT BAD, HUH.??

THEN, YOU GET SOME OCEAN FLYING EYESIGN BIRDS & YOU GOT IT MADE.
WHAT DO YA THINK.??
