I hope this is the last post I have to do about this Myron. The word sight is a misprint. Eye-sign has NOTHING to do with vision. My book also has several misprints and spellig errors dispite the fact that I paid two uni students to proof read it. Bishop did not. His book was printed by his own printers who knew nothing about the subject and may even have changed the word to sight on their own without even asking him. Eye-sign you must remmber, had never been discussed in such detail in the western world before his book so, nobody knew what it was especially the printer. I had the exact same problem and still do when discussing the subject with none pigeon people.

IF YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON ANY EDITION OF BISHOPS BOOKS ON "" THE SECRET OF THE EYE"" & NOT WHAT SOMEONE HAD TO SAY FROM ANOTHER ONE YOU WILL FIND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
THESE WERE NOT MISPRINTS BECAUSE THIS BOOK HAS NONE.
IT WAS TWO " DIFFERENT " WORDS, USED "TWO DIFFERENT WAYS".
TO MEAN TWO DIFFERENT THINGS "" WHICH IS QUITE CLEAR.
NOT ONLY DOES BISHOP USE THESE TWO WORDS FOR WHAT THEY WERE INTENDED, BUT SO DOES THE REST OF THE WORLD.
YOU JUMPED TO A CONCLUSION, BEFORE THINKING, & WROTE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR BOOK.
YOU ALSO LISTENED TO SOMEONES BULLSHIT, WHO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
IF THEY REALLY WANT TO LEARN SOMETHING, THEY SHOULD KEEP READING DAN THOMPSON'S ARTICLE OVER & OVER UNTIL THEY GET IT.
BUT THIS WOULD TAKE A LOT OF CONCENTRATION & THINKING, WHICH I DOUBT THEY CAN DO.
HIS IS FOR THE SUPER INTELLECT.
THE ""BOOK ""SHOULD ALSO BE READ UNTIL UNDERSTOOD, BUT THAT ALSO, IS TOO FAR OUT FOR MOST.
BUT, IF THEY FALL INTO THE OTHER CLASS FOR WHICH I WROTE. THE 101 CLASS, MEANING DUMMIES OR STUPID, THEY SHOULD READ MY ARTICLE, BECAUSE THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR THEM.

What has Dan's Article have to do with the study of eye sign.As I remember he even states NOT TO get his sight/vision Ideas CONFUSED with eye sign.Read it again..The Book's Ideas also had nothing to do on EYE SIGN,but a more radical Idea of EYE COOLING...I've read both of these fellows Ideas more than once and DO find them interesting but They don't help me in picking,breeding and racing and yes culling BY EYE SIGN.You've been studying eye sign for 30 some years and I'am wondering now before DAN TOMPSONS article and THE BOOK came on site what YOUR IDEAS on EYE SIGN really were,.??? Ask your self that question,stick with what YOU KNOW as you were succesful then.I honestly beleive one can read too many Ideas about eye sign as with others methods and Ideas and become totally confused,and forget what made them successful...Head down to the beach and check out the thongs,have a beer and relax.Just some freindly advice from one dummy to the next..

Well you are reading much more into this vision/eye cooling ect than I and maybe many others.The whys,hows I leave to those who are interested in those things as its not what I find interesting,but they have every right to do as they like.I am just a pigeon fancier trying to fly my birds with a little better results and I don't think you have to be a scientist to do this,At least I hope not or I'am in trouble.haha...I'am VERY happy with ALL I've been taught,about Eye sign!!yes Just the basics but I do see me having better results useing this in racing and breeding better birds,Just What I wanted,some improvement..Now as far as CANADIANS being 50 yrs behind the times,you are really starting to worry me,you didn't take your pills today did you..

Hey Myron I didn't jump to anything. You have made a statement and you are wrong but won't accept it. That's fine by me but, seeing as you are so knowledgeable. Please tell us all what a standing SIGHT and a lying SIGHT are. And when you finish, go take a look at the pictures of them both in Bishops book and tell us why he had to resort to using the same picture up side down to make the point. If the area of composition lies above the line of the beak, it is standing, below the line is lying. By the way. Misprints are mistakes made by the type setter or printer, not the writer. My book had 3 which were the numbers appertaining to the pictures and all of which had to be corrected by hand untill the reprint where they had been corrected. With regards to Dan article, I cannot improve on what was said by Mike V other than to add that in my opinion, it was all speculation ,conclusion, hypothesies and cunjecture without a shred of evidence. It is of no use or value to anyone. The books blood cooling information, came from the research of a man who I am also very familiar with and, have owned and used all 13 of his books on anatomy, I said it then and thanks to you, now I am forced to say it again. This information though very interesting, is of no use what-so-ever to the average pigeon flyer. It does not stand up to close scrutiny of the importance that Bill was trying to place on it for pigeon flyers and again, has nothing to do with eye-sign. Back to Bishop. Of all the eyes that I have seen over my 45 years of looking, and these out number what you have seen by god only knows, I have seen no more than 5 standing SIGNS. As for your comments about the Canadians. Myron you owe someone an appology. That's the sort of thing that gets you into all the trouble you get into. The other day you made a plea for attention and respect, well my friend, respect is something you have to earn, you don't demand it, and saying things like that to people, you will never command it either.

I HAD A REAL GOOD FRIEND IN A KID WHO I HELPED THERE MANY YEARS AGO, BUT SINCE THEN HE HAS MARRIED A WOMAN WHO ALSO FLYS.
